Causes Of Toothaches
A toothache is the pain in teeth or around the teeth and in gums which causes swelling, soreness or bleeding in the mouth.
01 Tooth Decay
This pain arises from the erosion of teeth. It is caused by acid-that is formed when the plaque feeds on the sugars from food particles in your mouth leading to erosion of the enamel creating holes in your teeth.
This occurs when the center of the tooth-the tissue inside inflamed or irritated.
The pain that arises from inflammation needs to be treated or it only worsens with time.
03 A Dental Abscess
It is seen on a x-ray to be identified accurately. After an infection occurs, there is a build up of bacteria inside the pulp chamber. The infection itself tries to drain out of the tooth root, this causes extreme pain and severe swelling.
If you begin to notice that your teeth hurt and are sensitive to hot/cold food items or even cold air, then you must get it checked for sensitivity.
05 Gum Disease
This is an infection of the gums such as gingivitis and periodontitis, which leads to deterioration of the gums, bones loss and exposed tooth roots.
Toothache can be caused by several factors combined and sometimes it may not even be related to oral health.
Some people experience toothaches due to having a history of sinus infections. thus it is always better to get it treated rather than ending up in a worse situation.
